Welcome to On The Fly

Â

The Great Smoky Mountain National Park features more than 700 miles of fishable trout streams. The waters of the Freestone Streams are home to wild mountain brook, rainbow trout, and brown trout. In the 1970s, the park service ceased stocking the streams with fish, which allowed wild trout to populate the waters. This makes the naturally beautiful streams of the park an excellent place to test your fly fishing skills.
